8 Days - 7 Nights: Imperial Cities, the History of Morocco

Day 1 – arrival in Casablanca

  • Pick up at Casablanca Airport – City tour and visit to the Hassan II Mosque – Transfer to hotel

Day 2 – Casablanca – Rabat – Fez

  • Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco: tour of the city, mausoleum Mohamed V, Hassan Tower, stop in front of the necropolis of Chella, and finally to Fez where we spend the night.

Day 3 – Fez

  • Visit of the city of Fez, site of the remains of the Merinide tombs, panoramic view of the city and its ramparts. The Royal Palace (magnificent gate). Visit tanneries and carpet and pottery makers. Discover the Medersa El-Attarine – Night in Fez

Day 4 – Fez – Volubilis – Meknes

  • Visit to the site of Volubilis, the most important Roman ruins in Morocco
    Visit the city of Meknes with its massive walls, you will see monumental gates including Bab Mansour, royal stables and grain mills, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). – Night in Meknes

Day 5 – Meknes – Marrakech

  • For the return to Marrakech we will go through the Great Atlas. Stop at Beni Mellal, Morocco’s capital of oranges. Stop at El Kelâa des Sraghna, the olive oil of this city is very well known.

Day 6 – Marrakech

  • Visit of the city of Marrakech rich of nearly 1000 years of history
  • Bahia Palace – Saadian Tombs – Jemaa el-Fna Square – Souks – Minaret of Koutoubia – Night in Marrakech

Day 7 – Marrakech and Beyond

  • A day with several options:
    Relaxing day – Hammam spa (Turkish Bath and Massage)
    Explore the Ourika River Valley
    Day trip to historical port city of Essaouira and its ancient medina, old Mogador
    Take a Camel ride through desert and palm groves near Marrakech – Night in Marrakech

Day 8 – Airport Transfer
